Amanda Leslie is a freelance journalist from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Prior to studying journalism, she completed a degree in marine biology. She has published articles for magazines and research organizations across Canada, including The Walrus, Dance International, Ecology & Action, and the Marine Environmental Observation Prediction and Response Network. A storyteller at heart, she’s currently working on her first book about Canada’s national parks.
