Growing up in a small fishing community in northern Norway, Audun Rikardsen developed a fascination with the Arctic’s rough landscape, culture, and wildlife. His accolades have included being named the overall winner of 12 international competitions and several first-place awards in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. He is a European Canon ambassador, and his work and stories have been published in magazines such as National Geographic, GEO, and BBC Magazine. He is a part-time photographer and a full-time professor in biology at the UiT Arctic University of Norway in Tromsø.
