Jennifer E. Telesca, PhD, brings together various fields of inquiry—anthropology, law, political economy, and studies in media and techno-science—to invite fresh thinking about people’s relationship to the animate world, especially the sea. She is the author of Red Gold: The Managed Extinction of the Giant Bluefin Tuna, published by the University of Minnesota Press in 2020. Her work appears in various academic journals and online magazines, including Yale Environment 360. She is a professor at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York.
