Jimena Ledgard is a freelance journalist and podcast producer based in Lima, Peru. Her reporting has taken her to the housing projects built by chavismo in Caracas, Venezuela; to the cocaine-producing valley of Peru; and to the world of illegal wildlife trading in the Amazon. She’s an Open Society Foundation, Fundación Gabo, and IWMF grantee. She spends her free time knitting and exploring new locations with her border collie rescue.
