Judith Lavoie is a Victoria, British Columbia–based freelance journalist who specializes in writing about the natural world and Indigenous issues. Lavoie wrote for the Victoria Times Colonist for more than 20 years and previously worked on newspapers in the United Kingdom, Cyprus, the Middle East, and New Brunswick. Lavoie has won four Jack Webster Awards and has been nominated for a National Newspaper Award and a Michener Award.
