Kate Evans grew up on the edge of the southern hemisphere’s first marine reserve and now lives in the small coastal town of Raglan, New Zealand. She has written (or made videos for) National Geographic, Discover, the BBC, and the Washington Post, and is a regular contributor to New Zealand Geographic magazine. She is currently writing a narrative nonfiction book about her favorite fruit, the feijoa.
