Nick Rahaim is a journalist, commercial fisherman, and researcher. He earned a master’s in international environmental policy at the Middlebury Institute in Monterey, California and received a Fulbright fellowship for sustainable development and blue economic research in rural communities surrounding Jiquilisco Bay, El Salvador. Rahaim was also a member of the reporting team at the Press Democrat in Santa Rosa, California that won a Pulitzer Prize in 2018 for their coverage of wildfires in Northern California. His work has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Vox, and Salon, among other news outlets.
