Samira Shackle is a freelance reporter based in London, England writing long-form stories that look at the human impact of major world events. She is the editor of New Humanist magazine, and a regular contributor to the Guardian Long Read. She has been reporting from Pakistan since 2011. Her first book, Karachi Vice, is a work of narrative nonfiction telling the story of five ordinary citizens of Pakistan’s largest city.
