Author bio

writer Susan Nerberg

Susan Nerberg writes about science, the environment, human geography, and nature. Her reporting has taken her to places like north Baffin Island, where climate change is affecting life at the floe edge; northwestern Ontario, where Canada’s only Indigenous-bred horse is slowly making its way back onto reserves; and Medellín, Colombia, where architecture is leveraged to transform poor neighborhoods for the better. She is based in Montreal, Quebec, but her mind (if not her person) often wanders to the wilds of the oceans and mountains.
