Emilee Gilpin, who’s Métis, Filipina, and of European descent is a journalist, editor, and educator. She has worked the past year as managing editor of IndigiNews, an online publication amplifying stories of Indigenous Peoples in the Okanagan and across Vancouver Island. Before that, she led the National Observer’s ‘First Nations Forward’ series dedicated to stories of success, self-determination, and Indigenous-led conservation.
