Bas den Hond is a Dutch independent journalist who divides his time between rural New Hampshire in the United States, semi-rural Linschoten in the Netherlands, and urban Berlin in Germany. He has a master of science in astronomy from Utrecht University in the Netherlands. Den Hond is a US correspondent for the Dutch newspaper Trouw. His science writing has also appeared in Eos, New Scientist, Science News, The Economist, and the Dutch weekly news magazine EW.
