Dag Goering is a veterinarian with a doctorate in fish pathology and immunology. He ditched his career to travel the world with his partner, the writer Maria Coffey—usually with a kayak in tow. Together, they have documented their adventures in many books, magazine articles, and presentations. Nowadays, as well as a paddle, a fiddle is also an essential part of his travel kit.
