Lauren Leffer is a science, technology, and environmental reporter based in Brooklyn, New York. She has published work in National Geographic, Scientific American, Gizmodo, Popular Science, Audubon Magazine, Inverse, and elsewhere. Previously, she was a research entomologist, park naturalist, and curriculum writer.
