Spoorthy Raman is an engineer turned journalist, who writes about everything science: from neurons to neutrinos. She helped start Research Matters, a multilingual Indian science news outlet, where she was a managing editor before starting out as an independent journalist. Her work has been published in Mongabay.com, Audubon magazine, Scientific American, and Deccan Herald among others. She is the author of two books, for readers big and small. When not writing, she is either reading, embroidering, or exploring the neighborhood parks with her dog.
